Welcome to /glogSPEED

Hello all, and thanks for checking out this portion of the site.

It is still under construction, but it is working for the most part.

Plans for the future;

  • Redesign of the Forum, complete integration.
  • Get users involved. Member rides, add new tutorials, etc.
  • Some sort of “points” system. Users who submit things will be reworded.
  • Post ratings. View and rate articles, nominate for feature article.
  • Car of the month / Member of the month. These people will be reworded something.

Current Features;

  • Top viewed articles.
  • Featured post next to articles on top of home page.
  • With new post, a new topic is created in the forum. People can comment in the forum.
  • Quick gallery to help with the tutorial pages.
  • Nice tutorial page design, now I need to add some!
  • Other things behind the scene to help better this website.

I hope this will be used frequently, and I plan on getting members involved. I may stick to first generation tutorials for a little while, and depending on the demand it may be all 3 generations once I get it configured the correct way.

Most importantly, I need user input. What do you, the user, want to see? Should the design be altered, different method of viewing posts, comments, etc? Let me know by emailing me - chris [AT] shoandgo .com

I will eventually be purchasing a domain name strictly for this site. But for now, the beta stage, please excuse the /glogSPEED.

Thanks,
Chris

2010 RX-7 Calendar

Posted on January 31st, 2009 by Chris

It’s that time of year again, where I begin thinking about the upcoming First Generation RX-7 Club Calendar.

Last years (2009) Calendar was a great success, and I am willing to put it all on again.

I hope to spread the word much more this year than last, as last year was a test to make sure it would work.

Picture submissions;

Submit either through email, or add them to the regular Gallery.

I will be working on the Forum shortly, and will be including a “garage” as well as a gallery where members can upload their photos.

The deadline for image submission last year was Early November, and I plan to keep that the same. If some are given to me later, I’ll see what I can do. But were not there yet so I am not worried about it.

I hope to get members involved, allowing them to vote on what they think should be included for this years calendar.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
Thanks,
Chris

2009 Rx-7 Calendar

An RX-7 based web forum put this calendar together for those who love the first generation Mazda RX-7.

All images used in this calendar were submitted to me by members of the message board to be used for this calendar.

The calendar itself is for the year of 2009. It is printed on 100# gloss paper, thicker than your average calendar. This is so you can rip off the picture when the month is over and hang it up! The calendars size is roughly 11″ x 8.5″ folded. When hanging, it is roughly 11″ x 16″. I have a few of these available.

Shipping to US Residents is $3. For those out of the US, please contact me for a shipping quote.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Sorry about the poor image quality! My camera’s flash died and I am in the market for a new one. For all month previews, please contact me. Thanks!

So you hear some funny noise coming from your car. You’re going 55mph and come up to an intersection where some idiot pulls out right before you. The brakes get slammed and you realize you aren’t stopping as quick as you usually do. The first thing that comes to mind is what? Oh yeah, the yearly brake change. This will briefly describe how to do this.

Here are some of the supplies that you will need to change your brakes

  • Pads
  • Screwdriver
  • Impact Gun
  • Etc.
  1. Secure car on jack stands
  2. Safety is a huge thing with me and now my website. If I offer technical tutorials on how to do things, I don’t want the blame coming to me for not telling you to properly jack your car up and place stands under it.

  3. Take of your tire
  4. Then this
  5. Then that

This is the nicest step of this tutorial. Grab your air impact gun and go at it. Remove those lug nuts and the wheel from the car.
